Many of our readers have expressed their desire to maintain active lifestyles with busy schedules and still find time to meet with girlfriends and enjoy a healthy lunch! Look no further, because we have located the perfect spot. It’s your local Panera Bread!
Well, now that LTP has found our favorite spot to enjoy a fit and nutritional lunch, a blended smoothie or flavorful iced-tea perfect for meeting up with girlfriends for some much-needed chat time, we just have to share with you our recent visit to Panera Bread after our rigorous workout at the local park!
I ordered my favorite Panera Salad with a side of the famous crusty freshly made French bread.
The chicken, which is raised without antibiotics, is mixed with field greens, romaine lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, red onions, pecans, Gorgonzola cheese and apple chips tossed in white balsamic apple vinaigrette. It’s available in whole and half but I chose the half order, and it was more than enough to fill me up with the side of crusty French bread (yum). The nutritional values below are based on a whole serving. For detailed nutrition facts on all items based on serving size, please download the nutrition information guide. The salad tasted fresh and recently tossed, it was cold and crisp, and I loved every bite!

After a fun workout, our whole group was hungry and so we picked up our children and brought them along too. Panera has a super menu called Panera Kids where all our munchkins found something they loved!
And here is what the children chose during our visit:
Kids Mac & Cheese: Tender shell pasta in a blend of rich cheeses including a tangy Vermont white cheddar cheese sauce.
Kids Grilled Cheese: A kid-friendly classic made with organic American cheese grilled on All-Natural White Bread.
The children each had a choice of milk or juice with their meals, and it made all us Moms happy that the children were not all forced to drink a soft drink instead.
The Grilled Cheese and the Mac & Cheese were a big hit amongst the children, and the ease of eating the yogurt sticks made it nice for us to be able to eat our lunches while the children were busy enjoying theirs too!
It was a lovely afternoon at Panera Bread! So next time you are out and about being active, don’t forget to stop by and enjoy a fabulous lunch with friends or with the kids. The menu has something perfect for everyone in your party!
