Barbie™ Starlight Adventure Coming Soon to a Theater Near You!
My daughters love Barbie™ and my youngest daughter brings about five Barbie dolls everywhere she goes. Needless to say she was thrilled to hear that Barbie has a new adventure coming out this summer: Barbie™ Starlight Adventure. We recently had the opportunity to preview this new film in our home and my daughters both loved watching every minute of it!
This particular film is great for young girls as it highlights Barbie’s compassion, determination and adventurous spirit, which makes her the natural leader the team needs to make the stars shine again. I like it when my daughters watch empowered women lead and demonstrate the ability to work in a group or team setting. It’s like youth sports, where the girls get lots of practice working together with their peers.
In this fun new movie, Barbie is a cosmic princess who flies high on her hoverboard through a far-off universe with her adorable and devoted pet sidekick, Pupcorn. One day, everything changes when the twinkling stars start to dim and slow their dance in the sky. Barbie travels to a beautiful new planet to join a special rescue team on a mission to save the stars. Once there, she teams up with a group of talented new friends who work together to save the galaxy through exciting hoverboarding adventures. The movie highlights how each of their unique traits help form the team that can save the galaxy, only if they work together. (I feel like I am constantly telling my three children to work together, and the task at hand goes so much quicker.) Thanks, Barbie, for reinforcing this for our children.
Barbie soon discovers that if she listens to her heart, and has the help of her friends, she might be the leader the whole universe has been seeking. The film is set in a new, colorful and welcoming girl-friendly galactic world that lets the girls’ imaginations truly run wild! 
Now it’s your turn to let your daughter go on her next adventure with Barbie. Check out Barbie™ Starlight Adventure in the theater on July 30. This special event includes a super-fun pre-show and sing-a-long extras after the movie.
The movie will be shown in theaters for one showing only on July 30 at 10 a.m. (local time) via Fathom Events. Tickets are on sale now. Get there at 9:30 a.m. for a fun pre-show which will include Barbie™ trivia and other activities! The movie will be released on DVD/Blu-ray and digital this fall.
